LoTW & OQRS

Log has been uploaded to LoTW. More than 300 confirmations there already in place. I also made available OQRS option on Clublog yesterday. First requests come to me. QSL cards will be designed and printed within two months.
We begin our way back home.

NA-088 operation requires validation

Today I received e-mail from Bob K3EST informing that NA-088 operation requires validation:

Dear Jacek,

IOTA Management has become aware you activated an IOTA group (NA-088) that is defined in the IOTA Directory as DIFFICULT. Your activation was welcome news to IOTA chasers around the world. You may or may not know that there are specific requirements for activation of a DIFFICULT IOTA operation before it is accepted as valid.
........
IOTA management appreciated your effort to activate this interesting IOTA. We hope you had a safe return from NA-088.

Thank you and good IOTA hunting!

73,

Bob, K3EST
IOTA Validation Team

I feel that it makes my operation more important, hihi. Anyway I have already provided all required information and evidence and hope it will be approved soon.

Almost 750 QSOs in the log

Conditions are still bad. There are only short openings with deep QSB. 750 QSOs made, mainly with NA and EU. No AS at all. Tomorrow is a last day of my operation. I hope to reach 1000 QSOs but... prop Gods have to help. I am not able to spend many hours with the radio.

Bad propagation

Today I managed first QSOs with EU and NA/SA. Very deep QSB with short periods of better prop. There was even short opening on 10 m.

On air

Please look for me on IOTA frequencies.

Hexbeam is up...

... but must wait a little bit. We had no lunch so we have to eat something.

Waiting for flight to BOC

Everything goes on schedule. I am waiting for boarding to Bocas del Toro. My antenna bag is flying with me.
Hope to be able to raise the hexbeam this afternoon and make first QSOs tonight.

One day in Panama City

Before tomorrow departure to Bocas del Toro we spent one day in Panama City. Few pictures from there below. The most interesting parts of sightseeing were, of course, visiting of Miraflores (Panama Canal) and beer in El Casco Antiguo.

On the way to Bocas del Toro

Second leg of the trip is over. The flight was overbooked so our standby tickets didn't give us a big chance to fly but everything finished well. We had got seats and arrived to Panama City.
After a short sightseeing tour we are going to fly to Bocas del Toro on Wednesday. See you on air soon!
